Mosaic in reverse
The motif is mirrored and placed upside down. During the work, only the back is visible. After the mosaic is completed, a frame is built and placed over the mosaic, and the back is poured with concrete. The piece is then turned over and roughly cleaned. Once the concrete has completely set, the frame is removed, the surface is acidified, and cleaned again.
This method creates a mosaic with a very smooth surface.
